Medkare ("we," "our," or "us") is a medication reminder and tracking app published by Sylvabit. This policy explains how information is handled when you use the Medkare mobile app and this marketing website.

Summary

• The Medkare app stores your medication and health-related entries locally on your device.
• We do not require an account and do not operate a cloud service for your day-to-day medication data.
• The website is a static informational site and does not collect medication or health data.
• Medkare+ purchases are processed by Apple or Google; we do not receive your full payment card details.

The Medkare app (local-first)

Local storage

Medkare stores data in a private database on your device. You can use the app without creating a Medkare account. We do not sync your medication records to our servers for normal app use.

What stays on your device

Depending on how you use the app, this may include:

• Profiles (names, avatars, optional PIN settings)
• Medications, schedules, and dose logs
• Optional notes (e.g. prescriber, pharmacy, personal reminders)
• Optional wellness data (e.g. period tracking, pregnancy week tracker)
• Optional attachments you add (e.g. prescription photos or documents in Vault)
• App preferences (e.g. theme, accessibility settings, active profile)

Sensitive health-related content is kept on the device as part of the app's core design.

What we do not do in the app

• We do not sell your medication data.
• We do not show third-party advertising in the app.
• We do not use third-party analytics SDKs in the app to collect your medication or dose history.

Premium & billing (Medkare+)

Medkare+ is an optional subscription. Payment is handled by the Apple App Store or Google Play. We receive subscription status through those platforms (and our subscription provider) so we can unlock premium features; we do not receive your full payment card number.

Subscriptions renew automatically unless you cancel in your store account settings before the renewal date.

Your choices

• You can edit or delete profiles, medications, and logs within the app.
• You can export or back up data using in-app tools where available.
• Uninstalling the app removes local app data from the device, subject to your operating system's backup behavior (see Apple or Google documentation).

Children

Medkare is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children through the app in a way that requires a Medkare account, because no account is required.

This website (medkare-web)

This marketing website is used to describe Medkare and link to the app stores. It does not collect medication, dose logs, or other health data through the app's database.

What this site may collect

• Standard web server or hosting logs (e.g. IP address, browser type, pages visited) as part of normal operation.
• If you contact us by email (e.g. info@sylvabit.com), we receive what you send us so we can respond.

We do not use this website to store or process your in-app medication data.

Analytics

We do not currently use analytics on this website that profile individual visitors across the site. If we add website analytics in the future (for example to understand traffic in aggregate), we will update this policy to describe what is collected and why. Any website analytics would be separate from the app's local-first data practices.

Changes to this policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of the app or website after changes means you accept the updated policy.
